The Cluck Armada doesn't come in peace. In this fourth episode, the hens have engineered a planet-sized egg cannon — a rolling colossus designed to blanket Earth in a lethal omelette layer. You are a last-line pilot, dodging yolk-shell fragments and hostile craft as waves compress into claustrophobic choreography. Each sector introduces a new mechanic: slipstreams push your shots off course, egg storms reduce visibility, and the Omelette Engine fires arcs that spin the arena's gravity. Learning the rhythm is the only way to survive.
Gameplay blends old-school arcade scoring with modern progression: weapon upgrades are modular, letting you tune spread width, beam charge, or homing missile speed. Powerups drop in yellow crates; keep an eye out for the rare Golden Coop — it unlocks temporary super-weapon modes and multiplier stacks. Bosses are multi-phase set-pieces that mix pattern memory with reactive moments: peel off armor nodes with lock missiles, dodge sweeping yolk-lasers, and time bomb explosions to hit weak spots exposed by stunned segments.
Modes range from quick Arcade runs to Courageous Coop for up to four pilots, and an Endless Ladder that pits you against randomized hazards and global leaderboards. Challenge Runs crank the difficulty and swap the ruleset: Dark Space removes HUD assists, Egg Rain spawns relentless projectiles, and Heavy Gravity punishes evasive maneuvers. For completionists there are hideaway eggs, secret boss variants, and daily missions that rotate modifiers and rewards.
Controls are tight and configurable: touch-friendly aiming with aim-assist, full controller mapping including shoulder-trigger bombs, and touch joy for nimble strafing. Visual polish leans retro — subtle CRT bloom, HUD chips that pulse with your multiplier, and a chiptune-meets-orchestral soundtrack that heightens every boss entrance. Performance is tuned for mobile devices with careful animation budgets and reduced-motion respects.
Social features include cloud saves, cross-device leaderboards, and snapshot sharing for your top scores. The in-game shop offers cosmetic ship skins, extra lives, and temporary boosters; no paywalls on core progression. Issues or questions? Reach [email protected] or visit chickeninvaders.com/support.
